About me

I am a visual artist working primarily with photography, encompassing analogue and cameraless techniques, digital photography, moving image and live projection. I create multi-layered imagery which explore themes of ecology, reciprocity and interconnectedness, with a particular interest in the interplay between humans and nature, and the complex and tangled webs of connection that make up our world.

With the support of a Developing Your Creative Practice (DYCP) grant from Arts Council England, I am currently exploring sustainable and environmentally friendly analogue photography processes including plant-based film developing, botanical cyanotype toning and anthotypes, bringing in an additional layer of connection between subject and image through the materiality of place.

Ultimately my work aims to foster a sense of connection between people and the world around us, and position us humans as a part of nature, not apart from it.

I hold an MA in Arts & Ecology with Distinction from Dartington Arts School, University of Plymouth, and have exhibited my work widely throughout the UK and overseas.

Alongside, and very much informed by, my personal creative practice, I work as a socially engaged arts facilitator, running courses and workshops with a focus on creative expression, wellbeing and nature connection.
