An exploration of the five-mile stretch of coast between Bacton and Happisburgh in Norfolk, UK. A tale of two villages close in geographic location, yet facing very different realities - Bacton being the site of a multi-million pound sandscaping sea defence scheme, and Happisburgh facing an approach of ‘managed retreat’ as the coast erodes. Shifting Sands is a visual exploration of this multi-layered and complex story.
